The Mexican Journal of Colorectal Surgery is the official publication of the Mexican College of Specialists in Coloproctology. Its spaces are open to members of the College as well as any member of the medical community who expresses interest in using this forum to publish their scientific work, in accordance with the publication's editorial policies.

The Mexican Journal of Colorectal Surgery is an online, open access, quarterly publication in which original works, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, and other research designs related to colorectal surgery and related medical and surgical specialties are published, in Spanish or English. Case reports, editorials, consensus statements, and clinical guidelines that address topics of interest to the medical and surgical community in Mexico and the rest of the world are also included.

The journal aims to enrich knowledge in all areas of colorectal surgery, including topics related to diagnosis, treatment, prevention, and prognosis. Additionally, the journal seeks to promote the ongoing education of colorectal surgeons and encourage collaboration among specialists from different areas of medicine related to colorectal surgery.
